Casual Court Hire Fees
- $30 per hour
- For casual bookings we are going to enforce that they become a sports member of the club. They can still make a booking first off however once they made the booking they would need to sign up as sports members of the club
For members bringing visitors the below charges apply per visitor. Strictly no visitors allowed on weekdays 4 – 8.30pm.

Day Members after 6:00 pm: Day Members can make bookings at $25/Hour two days in advance. Day members now have access to online booking system 2 days in advance after 6pm.
Full Members when playing with a Day Member after 6:00 pm – $8 per hour per person.
Ball Machine Hire
- Available for members only, $10 per hour
- One session per day, maximum 2-hour hire.
- Only available for hire before 4pm Monday-Friday, when a trained staff is available to operate the Ball machine. This applies to members and non-members bringing in their own ball machine. No Ball Machine Use after 4pm.
- If the courts are wet or potential rain then the ball machine would not be available for use
Racquet Hire
- Per Racquet – $5

Policies
Active Bookings (members)
- A maximum of two (2) active bookings are allowed at any time. This includes bookings made by other members. (i.e. A maximum of 2 Active/Future bookings in the system.)
- Bookings are to be in the playing member’s name only. No reserving courts using other people’s membership details.
Casual Bookings
- Monday to Friday – before 4:00 pm and after 8:30 pm only.
- Saturday and Sunday – 7:00 am to 10:30 pm.
- No casual bookings between 4:00 pm and 8:30 pm Monday to Friday.
- Can book online 48 hours in advance.
- Maximum of 2 hours per day.
- All bookings require pre-payment.
- No refund policy – credit will be given for future bookings subject to the cancellation policy.
Member’s Guest Policy
- Visitors/Members Guests (peak time) only permitted between 8:30pm-10:30pm Monday to Friday in the company of a Full members. There are no restrictions before 4pm or weekends.
- Day members are permitted to play after 6pm with a full member, with the following discounted rates to apply: $8 x 1hr, $12 x 1.5h and $15 for 2+ hours.
- For group bookings, a minimum 2 Full members are required per court.
- Day members are still permitted to book courts after 6pm Monday to Friday (max 48hrs before booking).
Extreme Heat
- Players may continue with their booking in extreme heat at their own risk.
- If requested, credit for a casual booking will be given when the temperature is over 38°C or within the first twenty (20) minutes of the booking.
- Casual bookings will receive an SSC Credit. See the Cancellation Policy below.
Wet Weather
- A decision as to whether courts are playable will be made by SSC Pro shop staff only.
- In the event of rain, it is the requirement of the member booking to contact the Pro shop to check if courts are playable.
- If courts are unplayable 4 hours prior to a scheduled booking, members have the option to cancel without any breach recorded.
Arrival
All Members and Visitors must check in at the Pro Shop (or Reception if unattended) PRIOR to playing.
- This includes all members who have not booked but are playing on the court.
- Confirmation of Member’s bookings must be made by the Member whose name the booking is under.
- Members must present Members Card.
- Any visitor fees or charges are to be paid prior to play.
- If the Pro Shop is unattended, please check in at the Club (Reception).
Racquet Hire
- Any malicious damage to racquets will be at the hirers’ expense ($100-$150).
- Government Issued ID is required when hiring racquets.
General
- The Club reserves the right to make price changes without notice.
- The Club also reserves the right to re-assign court allocations at its discretion.
- For online bookings, please ensure you have received confirmation prior to all bookings.
- It is the Member’s responsibility to ensure contact details are correct and up to date.
- Updates can be made at Reception or through the Members portal on the Club’s website.
On Court
- Only SSC Authorised Tennis Coaches are permitted to conduct coaching.
- No baskets of balls are permitted on the court during the booking.
- A maximum of eight balls is permitted per court.
- Exceptions to the above:
- Parents coaching children provided one parent is a Tennis Member.
- When using a Ball Machine.
- A Member who is practising by themselves.
- Suitable Tennis attire is to be worn on the court at all times.
- Members and Casual players must play within the allocated booking times.
- Additional court/visitor fees will apply if the booking is extended. This would also include additional courts.
- All players on the court must be listed on the booking.
- All non-members on the court will be subject to a Visitor Fee including parents who are non-members.
Cancellation Policy
Casual Bookings
- A minimum of twenty-four (24) hours notice is required for any cancellations.
- There is no refund for cancellation.
- A credit will be given to be used for a future booking providing the required notice is given.
- Credits are valid for three (3) months from the date of booking and cannot be extended.
Members Bookings
- A minimum of twenty-four (24) hours notice is required for any cancellations.
- You have up to 24 hours before your booking time to finalise your list of participants,
- If your booking is made within 24 hours, please ensure all participants are listed at the time of booking, if there are any issues you have one hour from the time you made your booking to email any participants or make changes to your list (email to proshop@strathfieldsportsclub.com.au)
- Bookings can be cancelled online or by contacting the Pro Shop.
- An email notification confirming the cancellation will be sent to the person whose name the booking is made under. Please retain this confirmation.
- The cancellation notice is subject to change. Any change to the policy will be communicated to all Members.
- If you’re late for the booking by more than 15 minutes, you will be considered a NO SHOW and the booking will be removed and a NO SHOW fee applied.
- Cancellations made after the 24-hour notice period has expired will be subject to a cancellation fee that is the same amount as the duration of the booking.
- Any NO SHOW bookings will be subject to a NO SHOW fee that is the same amount as the duration of the booking.
- Any bookings that finish more than 30 minutes early are subject to a $25 cancellation fee (e.g. booked for 2 hours booking but finished after 1 hour).
- All Tennis Bookings are the responsibility of the member making the booking
- Exceptions will be made due to inclement weather/extreme heat.
Three Strike Policy
Strathfield Sports Club has adopted a three-strike policy in relation to any breach of Club rules/policies.
Minor Breaches
- No Check-In
- Unpaid Fees
- No Show
- Late Cancellation (less than 24 hours)
- Late Arrival (more than 15 minutes)
- Player Omission (player not listed on booking)

Major Breach
Offensive, abusive or inappropriate behaviour towards staff, members or guests will result in suspension pending a disciplinary meeting with the Board.
Penalty for Breaches
IMPORTANT NOTE: Any Unpaid Fees would result in an immediate suspension of your online/offline booking privileges
First Strike – verbal and written warning.
Second Strike – next active booking will be removed. Any outstanding fees such as late cancellations or no-shows will be added to the account and restrictions will apply on further bookings until paid.
Third Strike – three (3) breaches of policies/rules will result in an automatic one-week suspension of bookings. Any further breaches will result in an additional week’s suspension and referral to the Board.
SSC reserves the right to block booking access until penalties are resolved.
Coaching Program Terms and Conditions
By enrolling into the SSC Coaching Program, you agree to the following:
Agreement Terms
I/We agree to indemnify and agree to keep indemnified and hold harmless Strathfield Sports Club and its affiliates against all actions, suits, proceedings, claims, demands, costs, losses, damages and expenses (“Claim”) in any way connected to or resulting from any damage loss, death, or injury sustained during or otherwise associated with the program. I hereby release and discharge Strathfield Sports Club and its affiliates from any Claim relating to the program which may be made against Strathfield Sports Club and its affiliates.
Should myself / my child(ren) require first aid or medical treatment whilst participating in the program, I/we hereby authorise and consent to such treatment as deemed necessary, at my expense. Please indicate any specific medical conditions that Strathfield Sports Club coaching staff should be aware of on this form.
Unless I/we have expressly notified Strathfield Sports Club in writing otherwise, I/we authorise Strathfield Sports Club to use images and/or video footage of me/my child(ren) for promotional and educational purposes only, i.e. website, promotional flyers, social media, coach education. Please notify us in writing if you do not wish your/your children’s image to be used, otherwise we will assume you have no objections.
I/We have read, understood and accept the Strathfield Sports Club policies. Strathfield Sports Club reserves the right to update these policies from time to time.
Payment, Cancellation and Weather Policies
Payment for each respective term fees must be paid in full no later than the due date. Active Kids Vouchers are accepted. Notice of cancellation of enrolment must be received in writing to Strathfield Sports Club no later that 1 week prior to the start of each corresponding term. No refunds will be given under any circumstance. Credit towards next term’s coaching may be provided in instances at the Head Coach/Sports Manager’s discretion.
Cancellations & Make Ups
Medical certificates are required for makeup lessons. Medical certificates must be submitted in writing within 2 weeks of the date of the missed lesson. Failure to give a medical certificate for missed classes will result in the missed class being forfeited. It is the responsibility of the student to supply a medical certificate should they wish to request a makeup. All lessons must be provided in writing to Strathfield Sports Club with a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours if unable to attend a scheduled class.
Make up time options are subject to class type and availability. Makeup lessons are subject to class type and availability. Please submit in writing to the Head Coach to join another class during the term, pending student to coach ratio. It is the responsibility of all players to attend makeup lessons. NO makeup lessons will be offered for a missed makeup lesson. All makeup classes must be used by the end of the respective school term and corresponding school holiday.
School holiday makeups will be held on select days for group lessons if necessary and private/semiprivate lessons.
Subject to availability, players may also be able to complete a makeup lesson by joining another class during the current term. It is the responsibility of all players to attend makeup lessons. NO make up lessons will be offered for a make up cancellation.
Unattended lessons without prior communication* will be marked as a NO SHOW and no makeups will be credited.
Private and semiprivate lessons can be rescheduled pending availability within the NSW public school term and corresponding school holiday. Extreme situations will be advised by the Head Coach on a case-by-case.
Adult Group and Ladies Clinics can join in additional classes throughout the term on any given week, pending availability and pending communication at least 24 hours to proshop@strathfieldsportsclub.com.au or myself for the missed class.
Rain
Wet weather cancellation notifications will be delivered via text message or email 30 minutes prior to the scheduled lesson. If you do not receive a text message, the lesson is assumed to proceed as per normal. Strathfield Sports Club will NOT provide make up lessons for players who choose not to attend a lesson that went ahead and/or assume that lessons are cancelled due to wet weather.
If a coaching lesson commences, and is cancelled less than half way through, a makeup lesson will be offered for the unused portion. If over half the lesson has occurred when play has ceased due to rain, it will count as a whole lesson.
In the event that there is excessive rain in the term, credit for the missed lessons will be provided to use with a 90-day expiration date. The following term will still be owing. This applies to Extreme Heat of 38C and over.
Extreme heat
Strathfield Sports Club coaches will modify lessons appropriately when there is extreme heat. If there is extreme heat (38°C +), cancellation or modification of the lesson may occur on occasion, at the discretion of the HEAD Coach and Senior Tennis Coach.
Payment Options
In Shop: In person at the Pro Shop before due date.
Online: Through Stripe invoice that is emailed just before the start of each term.
