Court Information

Synthetic Grass
Court # 2 – 7, 10 and 11

Natural Grass
Court # 8 and 9

Courts are available from 7:00am to 10:30pm.
Off Peak Times – 7:00am to 4:00pm.
Peak Times – Weekdays 4:00pm-10:30pm, Weekends and Public Holidays.
Natural Grass courts are subject to availability and weather.

Casual Court Hire Fees

Synthetic Grass Courts  – $25 per hour
Natural Grass Courts – $35 per hour

Members Visitor Fees

Day Members after 6:00pm when playing with another Day Member – $13 per hour per person.
Full Members when playing with a Day Member after 6:00pm – $8 per hour per person.
Peak Rates:

1 hour $10
1.5 hours $15
2 hours $20
2-3 hours $25

Off Peak Rates:

1 hour $8
1.5 hours $12
2 – 3 hours $15

Other Charges

Ball Machine
Day Members – $10 per hour
Full Members – $5 per hour
Note: One session per day, maximum 2-hour hire.
Racquet Hire
Per Racquet – $3
Note: Govt issued ID is required

Policies

Active Bookings Policy

A maximum of two (2) active bookings allowed at any time. This includes bookings made by other members.
(i.e. A maximum 2 Active/Future bookings in the system.)
Bookings to be in the playing member’s name only. No reserving courts using other people’s membership details.

Casual Booking Policy

Booking Times

  • Monday to Friday – before 4:00pm and after 9:30pm only.
  • Saturday and Sunday – 7:00am to 10:30pm.
  • No casual bookings between 4:00pm and 9:30pm Monday to Friday.
  • Can book online 48 hours in advance.
  • Maximum of 2 hours per day.
  • All bookings require pre-payment.
  • No refunds policy – credit will be given for future bookings subject to the cancellation policy.

Extreme Heat Policy

  • Players may continue with their booking in extreme heat at their own risk.
  • If requested, credit for a casual booking will be given when the temperature is over 35°C or within the first twenty (20) minutes of the booking.
  • Casual bookings will receive an SSC Credit. See Cancellation Policy below.

Arrival Policy

All Members and Visitors must check-in at the Pro Shop (or Reception if unattended) PRIOR to playing.

  • This includes all members who have not booked but are playing on the court.
  • Confirmation of Member’s bookings must be made by the Member who’s name the booking is under.
  • Members must present Members Card.
  • Any visitor fees or charges to be paid prior to play.
  • If the Pro Shop is unattended, please check-in at the Club (Reception).

Racquet Hire Policy

  • Any malicious damage to racquets will be at the hirers’ expense ($100-$150).
  • Government Issued ID is required when hiring racquets.

General Policy

  • The Club reserves the right to make price changes without notice.
  • The Club also reserves the right to re-assign court allocations at its discretion.
  • For online bookings, please ensure you have received confirmation prior to all bookings.
  • It is the Members responsibility to ensure contact details are correct and up to date.
  • Updates can be made at Reception or through the Members portal on the Club’s website.

On Court Policy

  • Only SSC Authorised Tennis Coaches are permitted to conduct coaching.
  • No baskets of balls are permitted on court during the booking.
  • A maximum of eight balls is permitted per court.
  • Exceptions to the above:
    • Parents coaching children provided one parent is a Tennis Member.
    • When using a Ball Machine.
    • A Member who is practicing by themselves.
  • Suitable Tennis attire is to be worn on court at all times.
  • Members and Casual players must play within the allocated booking times.
  • Additional court/visitor fees will apply if the booking is extended. This would also include additional courts.
  • All players on court must be listed on the booking.
  • All non-members on court will be subject to a Visitor Fee including parents who are non-members.

Cancellation Policy

Casual Bookings

  • Minimum twenty-four (24) hours’ notice is required for any cancellations.
  • There is no refund for cancellation.
  • A credit will be given to be used for a future booking providing the required notice is given.
  • Credits are valid for three (3) months from the date of booking and cannot be extended.

Members Bookings

  • Minimum twenty-four (24) hours’ notice is required for any cancellations.
  • You have up until 24 hours to your booking time to  finalise your list of participants,
  • If your booking is made within 24 hours, please ensure all participants are listed at the time of booking, if there are any issues you have one hour from the time you made your booking to email any participants or make changes to your quest list (email to proshop@strathfieldsportsclub.com.au)
  • Bookings can be cancelled online or by contacting the Pro Shop.
  • An email notification confirming the cancellation will be sent to person who’s name booking is made under. Please retain this confirmation.
  • Cancellation notice is subject to change. Any change to the policy will be communicated to all Members.
  • If you’re late for the booking by more than 15 minutes, you will be considered a NO SHOW and booking will be removed and fee applied.
  • Cancellations are made after the 24 hour notice period has expired will be subject to a $25 per hour cancellation fee.
  • Any NO SHOW bookings will be subject to a $25 per hour cancellation fee.
  • Any bookings that finish more than 30 minutes early are subject to a $25 cancellation fee (e.g. booked for 2 hours booking but finish after 1 hour).
  • Exceptions will be made due to inclement weather/extreme heat. 

Tennis Member Peak Hour Time Restrictions (Point Based System)

  • Tennis Members Peak Time is Monday to Friday from 4:00pm to 9:30pm
  • 8 points per week (Sun-Mon)
    • No Rollover
    • Reset after each week

Three Strike Policies

Strathfield Sports Club has adopted a three-strike policy in relation to any breach of Club rules/policies.

Minor Breaches

  • No Check-In
  • No Show
  • Late Cancellation (less than 24 hours)
  • Late Arrival (more than 15 minutes)
  • Player Omission (player not listed on booking)
    • You have up until 24 hours to your booking time to  finalise your list of participants,
    • if your booking is made within 24 hours, please ensure all participants are listed at the time of booking, if there are any issues you have one hour from the time you made your booking to email any participants or make changes to your quest list (email to proshop@strathfieldsportsclub.com.au)
  • Leave Booking Early (more than 30 minutes)

Major Breach
Offensive, abusive or inappropriate behaviour towards staff, members or guests will result in suspension pending a disciplinary meeting with the Board.

Penalty for Breaches

  • First Strike – verbal and written warning.
  • Second Strike – next active booking will be removed. Any outstanding fees such as late cancellation or no show will be added to the account and restrictions will apply on further bookings until paid.
  • Third Strike – three (3) breaches of policies/rules will result in an automatic one week’s suspension of bookings. Any further breaches will result in an additional week’s suspension and referral to the Board.
