Our Community

Strathfield Sports Club proudly supports many community, school, charity and sports organisations through sponsorship, donations and the ClubGRANTS scheme. This year we distributed $353,389 in cash donations and $26,899 in in kind donations through our inclusion programs. We pride ourselves on the ability to make contributions to these worthwhile causes as part of our ongoing community support program.

Strathfield Croquet Club offers an affordable, life-time, non-contact and low impact sport, played in a quiet, picturesque location. They are a friendly, progressive Club which reaches out to community groups,  such as – scouts/guides,  local schools, University and U3A.

The Inclusive Education faculty at Homebush Boys High School opened in 2021, with the establishment of 3 classes that cater for students on the autism spectrum. This has grown to 5 classes in 2024, with a total of 35 students enrolled.

Strathfield Sports Club actively supports numerous charitable bodies, not-for-profit community groups, schools, and sporting organisations through the ClubsNSW ClubGRANTS Scheme.

ClubGRANTS Scheme by Strathfield Sports Club

Category 1

  • Supports community welfare and social services; community development; employment assistance activities; community health services; and projects aimed at improving the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people.

Category 1 In Kind

  • Non-monetary support. We assist with room hire, prizes for fundraisers and so on.

Category 2

  • Provides funding for general community development and support activities, such as junior sport.

ClubGRANTS is one of Australia’s largest grant programs, providing over $100 million in cash each year to various causes across NSW through the Club industry. Charities, sporting organisations, and not-for-profit community groups are among the tens-of-thousands of worthy causes funded through the program annually. The initiative reflects the collective efforts of clubs to make a positive impact on their local communities.
